They take their name from the Sasso Caveoso, the ancient heart of Matera, with its cave-dwellings excavated from the rock which have stayed intact for centuries. A traditional recipe using all the goodness of local extra virgin olive oil and PGI white wine from Basilicata, Di Leo's Caveosi come in two variants: one with chocolate chips and the other with almonds.
